How it works
Four steps from a blank page to a live game. The AI does the typing. You stay in charge of every question.
Give the generator a topic such as “the water cycle”, or paste your own material: lesson notes, an article, a policy document, up to 15,000 characters. Pick the number of questions (1 to 20), the difficulty and the language.
Within seconds you get a titled draft of up to 20 multiple-choice questions. Each has four answer options, one correct answer and a short explanation that players see after the reveal. Drafts come in English or Swedish, at easy, medium or hard difficulty.
Every draft opens in the quiz editor, marked as an AI draft. Fix wording, swap answers, change time limits and points, add images or add other question types. Nothing goes live until you say so.
Start a live game on a projector or TV. Players scan the QR code or type the six-digit PIN on their phones and the questions appear on their own screens. No app, no account and nothing to pay for players.
Capabilities
Everything below is included on the free plan. The limits are the same on the Host Plan; only the number of generations differs.
Name any subject, from the periodic table to your company's onboarding, and the AI writes questions whose correct answers are well-established facts. Wrong options are plausible but clearly wrong, and “all of the above” is never used.
Paste up to 15,000 characters of notes, an article or a manual. In this mode the AI may only use facts stated in your text, and every question must carry a verbatim quote from the source. Questions without one are dropped before you see them.
Choose anywhere from 1 to 20 questions. Each question gets four answer options and exactly one correct answer. Need more? Run the generator again and combine the drafts in the editor.
Easy suits beginners and younger students, medium expects solid familiarity, and hard challenges people who know the topic well. The level steers the whole draft, not just a few questions.
Every part of the draft, from the title to the explanations, is written in the language you pick. Swedish output is a first-class feature in ZappyQ, not a translation added afterwards.
The AI drafts multiple-choice questions. In the editor you can add the other five ZappyQ question types yourself: true/false, type the answer, put in order, slider and poll. All six are included on every plan.

Honest answer
Mostly, but not always. Treat every generation as a draft, because that is what it is.
Large language models produce fluent text that can contain factual mistakes, outdated information or answer options that sit closer to each other than intended. That is why ZappyQ flags every generation as an AI draft until you have been through it. The flag is not a formality. It is the step where you catch the errors.
Three safeguards reduce the risk. The model is instructed to only ask about well-established facts. Drafts from pasted text must quote the source for every question, and ungrounded questions are removed automatically. Duplicate answer options are rejected before the draft reaches you.
What the safeguards cannot do is replace a subject expert. Read every question, check the correct answer, and read the wrong options too; a “wrong” option that is actually right is the most common slip. Our Terms of Service say the same thing: AI drafts are provided as they are, and the host is responsible for what is shown to players.
Privacy
Only your prompt leaves ZappyQ. No player data ever reaches an AI service.
Only the host's prompt, meaning the topic or the text you paste, is sent to OpenAI to produce the draft. Nothing about your players is ever sent to an AI service: not nicknames, not answers, not results.
ZappyQ is operated by Expi AB in Sweden under the GDPR. Live game data is deleted automatically 24 hours after a game is created. The details, including every sub-processor we use, are in the Privacy Policy.
If your text contains personal data about other people, think before you paste. Summarise the material or remove names first. The generator works just as well on anonymised notes.

Not directly. ZappyQ's generator takes a topic or pasted text, so copy the text out of the PDF or page and paste it in, up to 15,000 characters. In paste mode the AI uses only facts from your text and quotes the source for every question, which makes it the better choice for study material and internal documents.
Yes. ZappyQ writes the whole draft, title, questions, answers and explanations, in Swedish or English, whichever you choose per quiz. The model was chosen for strong Swedish output. Players see the quiz in the same language on their own phones, and the nickname generator is bilingual too. This page also exists in Swedish.
Usually well under a minute. ZappyQ sends your request to OpenAI, validates the returned data, drops any question that fails the checks and opens the draft in the editor. Long pasted texts and 20-question drafts take a little longer than a five-question topic quiz. Each generation counts once, whatever its size.
